there was Mr. Trudeau. And I had the privilege of 
sitting with Mr. Trudeau and Marshall McLuhan and 
carrying on a conversation with our seminar 
group. Marshall was a little shocked when the PM 
said, “Hi Bob! How are you? I didn’t know you’d be 
here.” And so I had a little laugh on Marshall. We 
had a great time. Jim Cootes was there, the 
principal secretary to the Prime Minister, who was 
a friend to the McLuhan family. We had a great 
evening that night.
